Foot Mercato report that Ligue 1 side Lyon have made an enquiry for Brazilian central defender Gabriel Paulista, who is currently plying his trade at Valencia.
OL are continuing to their search for a central defender, and may even look to sign two this summer. Mamadou Sakho and Diego Godin are individuals who Lyon have been in touch with, receiving varying degrees of interest back, but now Les Gones have made an approach for the ex-Arsenal man.

Sporting Director Juninho is understood to be a big fan of the 29-year-old, but VCF are unlikely to be willing to let him go, with Ezequiel Garay’s contract expiring at the end of the season and Frenchman Mouctar Diakhaby receiving lots of attention abroad.
The Spanish club even intend to offer Gabriel a new contract; he is currently under contract until June 2022.
