Luton Town set to sign talented young defender from Standard Liege | OneFootball

Sacha Tavolieri has revealed that Luton Town are on the verge of signing Nathan Ngoy from Standard Liege. The two clubs are negotiating the final details of a deal which looks set to be in the region of €5m, with Ngoy having agreed personal terms on a long-term deal with the Championship side. It will certainly be a welcome boost financially to Standard, who are in desperate need of income. Ngoy was under contract with Standard until 2026.

The 21-year-old has missed most of this season so far through injury, making his first appearance off the bench against Kortrijk this past weekend. Despite a difficult season last year, Ngoy was one of the few bright spots in the side. The young defender looked assured at the back in his 15 appearances in the league. Injury’s have been a problem and were at times last season, so hopefully the worst of these are now behind him.
