According to South London Press, the 19-year-old has attracted Rob Edwards' interest after a fantastic season in the Premier League with the Eagles last time out.

Ozoh made 12 appearances for Palace in the 2023/24 campaign, with nine coming in the top flight, as his side finished 10th in the table, their best ever Premier League finish.

However, with Oliver Glasner already boasting a stacked midfield heading into the new season, Ozoh may make way for Kenilworth Road, as Luton look to bounce back from relegation to the Championship.

Luton Town want to make move permanent

According to Alan Nixon, the young midfielder had already been a target of Luton's for a loan, with Plymouth Argyle also interested. However, after Ross Barkley's move to Aston Villa was confirmed on Monday afternoon, the Hatters have the chance to bring in Ozoh on a permanent deal.

Luke Berry has also parted ways with Luton this summer, moving to Charlton Athletic after seven years with the club.

Ozoh made his debut for Palace in January 2023, with a short cameo against Newcastle United, however, last season was his breakout year as he made nine appearances, including playing 56 minutes in a 2-2 draw against Manchester City.

Edwards will be hoping that a permanent deal will allow his side to beat rivals to the signature and services of the midfielder, who has five England U18 caps to his name.

What Ozoh could bring to Luton Town

Ozoh is a battling midfielder, who had originally started his career further forward. But, throughout his development, he has grown and matured into a superb, young defensive-minded player.

He became Palace's youngest-ever Premier League player on his debut at just 17 years, 8 months and 15 days, showing just how highly rated he is by those at the club.

Ozoh has been a crucial part of the Eagles' development sides, operating as a holding midfielder and using his athleticism to break-up opposition attacks and helping his team counter from deep.

This will be of huge interest to Edwards, who will look to build on an already exciting, powerful midfield group that contains the likes of Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu, Marvelous Nakamba and Jordan Clark.

The 19-year-old will add more youth, which is crucial to the way Luton play football, with quick counter-attacks and constant pressure an important part of the team's game.

Ross Barkley leaves a huge gap

With Barkley's transfer back to Aston Villa now confirmed, it is vital that Luton do not fail to replace him. It had seemed likely, since relegation was confirmed from the Premier League on the final day of the season, that Barkley would leave the Hatters, but it will still be hard to fill the gap he leaves.

Ozoh could be the start of a new midfield, with Lewis O'Brien from Nottingham Forest also linked with Luton on loan, as per Alan Nixon.

However, with just over five weeks until the Championship season starts, the Hatters are in need of quickly filling their midfield with quality that has time to gel, as they plot their return to the top flight.
