Real Madrid will face off against Barcelona in Saudi Arabia as they look to secure a victory in the Spanish Super Cup final. Los Blancos managed to secure a 5-3 win after extra time against Atletico Madrid which should keep them in high spirits ahead of this game.

Carlo Ancelotti will set his men up in a 4-3-1-2 formation and is expected to name a strong first XI for this clash. Andriy Lunin could get a chance to play from the start while Kepa Arrizabalaga makes way for him and drops to the bench.

Defence

Andriy Lunin will operate in between the sticks for Los Blancos. Kepa Arrizabalaga has to be content with a spot on the bench after shipping in three goals in his last outing. Nacho is expected to function alongside Antonio Rudiger at the heart of Real Madrid’s defence as they try to keep things solid at the back throughout the game.

Ferland Mendy will fill in as the left-back while Dani Carvajal hopes to catch the eye on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them will be instructed to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.

Fran Garcia will be named on the bench as he offers cover for the left-back position.

Midfield

Luka Modric, Aurelien Tchouameni and Federico Valverde will make up Ancelotti’s midfield as they focus on establishing their superiority over the Catalan club in the middle of the park.

Jude Bellingham would play in the number ten position and is expected to carry most of the creative burden for the Madrid outfit in the final third.

Dani Ceballos and Toni Kroos will make up the numbers on the bench as they wait for their chance to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if needed.

Attack

Rodrygo and Vinicius Jr. will lead the charge for the Madrid giants up top. Both of them need to combine well if they want to cause some problems for the Barca defenders during the 90 minutes.

Joselu and Brahim Diaz will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the final quarter if required.
