Real Madrid locked horns with Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium earlier tonight as they focused on securing a positive result on their travels in the UEFA Champions League. Los Blancos made a quick start to the game and scored the opening goal in the 12th minute when Rodrygo got his name on the scoresheet. Carlo Ancelotti’s men went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.

Man City managed to equalise in the 76th minute when Kevin de Bruyne found the back of the net. The contest ended with a 1-1 scoreline after 90 minutes.

The two sides failed to make the decisive breakthrough in extra-time which took the game to penalties after the tie ended with an aggregate 4-4 scoreline.

Real Madrid ended up winning the tie on penalties as they beat Man City by a 4-3 margin.
