Luis Rey joins Tapatio | OneFootball

Looking to strengthen its squad in order to continue as the main protagonist of the Expansion League, El Tapatío adds defender Luis Rey to its roster, who from today on will defend the red and white jersey.

Who is our new defender?Luis was born in Chihuahua and started his soccer career in Morelia's basic forces and when the franchise was moved to Mazatlán he continued his career with Los Cañoneros. He made his Liga MX debut with the purple team in the Guard1anes 2021 Tournament and then played for Puebla and later on for Cruz Azul. In the Clausura 2023 he played with Mineros de Fresnillo of the Premier League.

What are his characteristics as a player?He is a right-footed center back, with good ball handling when crossing zones, knows how to connect with offensive players between lines, has a good aerial game, good ball striking and changes of direction, and is intense when recovering the ball.
