“It was too important to continue winning, it’s always important. We started a new journey two months ago and it’s going well. We continue to work, push, trying to reflect the coach’s ideas on the pitch. We are happy, these three points make the difference.”

“We arrived from Brighton on Friday morning at 6am and it’s not easy to prepare for a match in a day and a half. We’re really holding on to this victory, we made an incredible effort given all the mental and physical elements.”

“De Rossi? I’ve given Daniele a lot of hugs, today’s hug is from player to coach. In these two days we both talked a lot to try to make everyone understand that this was not a match that we could allow ourselves not to win.”

“It was important to unlock the match, in the first half we struggled and kept the intensity low and we shouldn’t do this going forward. When we keep the intensity high we are a really good team.”
