Adrien Rabiot is expected to leave Juventus on a free transfer, with his contract expiring at midnight, and AC Milan are one of the teams inserted. According to the journalist Andrea Longoni, this is the dream signing of Geoffrey Moncada.

Milan are looking to bolster their midfield ahead of next season and in addition to a defensive midfielder, they could also pounce on a mercato opportunity: Rabiot. The Frenchman is not unexpected to renew his contract with Juventus and should thus leave on a free transfer.

The Rossoneri know that it wouldn’t be an inexpensive operation, with Rabiot asking for around €7m per year, but this is perhaps possible with the use of the Growth Decree. As highlighted by Andrea Longoni for MilanNews, it seems they will be able to make use of it.

“In midfield, in addition to a defensive signing, Moncada dreams of Adrien Rabiot: the first contact with mother Veronique dates back to the end of May. The Frenchman’s contract with Juventus expires today. With the possibility of still taking advantage of the growth decree, Rabiot’s salary would cost a little more than the €8m gross that Milan currently pay for Bennacer,” he writes.

Youssouf Fofana is still the primary target for the defensive role, and competition is expected to be tough for Rabiot. In short, it remains to be seen if the Rossoneri will secure the signing of the Juve man.
