Former Chivas manager and long-time assistant Alberto Coyote has been officially announced by Club Deportivo Tapatío as their new manager.
The 53-year-old, who served as Chivas’ caretaker manager in both 2012 and 2019, will take over Chivas’ official reserve team, who play in the newly-formed Liga de Expansión MX.
Coyote takes over for Ricardo Cadena, who will be promoted to the coaching staff of Víctor Manuel Vucetich, who is expected to be officially announced as the new Chivas manager later this week.
Coyote arrives just in time to be in charge for Tapatío’s first match, which will take place next Tuesday against Cimarrones de Sonora.
Meanwhile, Chivas are set to take on FC Juárez and their newest player, Marco Fabian, tonight at the Estadio Olímpico Benito Juárez.
