This comes amid confirmation that Andreas Christensen was this morning given the green light to train alongside the rest of Hansi Flick’s squad.
Defender Christensen, for his part, has not taken to the pitch since all the way back in August.
As much comes owing to a long-standing Achilles issue, which ultimately forced the Danish international under the knife.
The last couple of weeks saw Christensen at last make a step forward in his recovery, first spotted back on the grass in individual training, before playing a partial role in group activities.
And, on Wednesday, the former Chelsea man’s return to the pitch moved yet another step closer.
As per a report from Diario Sport, Christensen saw out the entirety of the morning training session at The Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper.
Though this weekend’s meeting with Atlético Madrid is expected to come too soon, the 28-year-old should in turn be ready to play his part in Barcelona’s Copa del Rey clash with Barbastro on January 4th.
