The Pride announced news of the player’s exit via a post on their official club X account late last night.
Farrelly joins Peamount United after leaving former club London City Lionesses by mutual consent.
The 25-year-old Republic of Ireland international midfielder joined London City Lionesses on a one-year deal last summer after leaving Italian club Parma Calcio 2022. Farrelly went on to make 10 appearances for The Pride in all competitions. The player struggled for starts in her time in England. Farrelly was named in the London City Lionesses starting XI on just three occasions.
Farrelly is arguably in need of more regular game time and she should now get that back in the SSE Airtricity League Women’s Premier Division with Peamount United. The player returns to the club where she started her senior career back in 2015.
Ten players have left London City Lionesses since the end of last season. The club’s new head coach Jocelyn Prêcheur has been busy bringing his own players in over the summer with eight new faces having arrived at London City Lionesses so far. With a month to go until the new season kicks-off, there is still time for further business.
