Paxten Aaronson

It’s also going well for Aaronson, who has started all four league games for FC Utrecht so far and posted one assist against SC Heerenveen.

The American also represented his country at the Olympic Games and produced one goal and one assist in four starts as USA reached the quarter-finals, where they were knocked out by Morocco.  Ignacio Ferri Julià

Nacho Ferri has been leading the line for Belgian top-flight club KV Kortrijk since this summer. The Frankfurt academy product has scored once in six appearances in the current season, five of which have been from the start. His new club sit in 13th place in the Jupiler Pro League.

Jessic Ngankam

Ngankam has one goal from a penalty against Hamburger SV to his name for Hannover 96 so far. As well as four appearances in Bundesliga 2, the forward came off the bench in the cup defeat at Arminia Bielefeld.

Elias Baum

The right-back has immediately established himself at Bundesliga 2 side SV Elversberg and started in all four league games as well as the first round of the cup. Baum played the full 90 minutes in three of the four second-tier fixtures, helping Elversberg to five points and 11th place.

On Thursday, he featured alongside Nnamdi Collins as Germany U20s overturned a 2-0 deficit to win 3-2 against Romania.

Hrvoje Smolcic

LASK loanee Smolcic missed the start of the Austrian Bundesliga season due to a neck injury. The centre-back then played the entirety of Matchdays 2 and 3, before another injury forced him to sit out the next two league matches.

Faride Alidou

Alidou hasn’t been in Italy long but was quickly thrown into action. His side Hellas Verona hosted Juventus on 25 August but with the score already at 3-0 when he came on, Alidou couldn’t prevent defeat against the Old Lady.

Aurélio Buta

Having joined Stade Reims on loan two days before the end of the transfer window, Buta made an instant impact on his debut. Named in the starting line-up against Stade Rennais, the right-back assisted the winning goal in a 2-1 victory. The result left Reims in tenth place in Ligue 1 after three matchdays.

Simon Simoni

Goalkeeper Simon Simoni is yet to feature in the third division for FC Ingolstadt but has been involved in three knockout ties. In the Bavarian Cup, the Albania U21 international has registered two clean sheets – 11-0 in round one and 4-0 in round two. Simoni also started in the 2-1 loss to Bundesliga 2 side Kaiserslautern in the DFB Cup.
