Some players just aren't getting the game time that they maybe deserve.
This article is part of Football League World's 'Terrace Talk' series, which provides personal opinions from our FLW Fan Pundits regarding the latest breaking news, teams, players, managers, potential signings and more...
Wrexham are riding high at the moment and are looking like one of the favourites to win promotion, again.
Given that there's a chance of the Welsh side completing three successive promotions in a row this season, although it won't come easily, Wrexham supporters may be slightly aghast by the lack of plaudits that they have received, especially in comparison to Ipswich Town and their back-to-back promotions last season.
In truth that's because this was sort of expected. Did people think that they'd be this good in League One? Maybe not, but it was a widely held view that they were going to be challenge sooner rather than later.
When a club is on such a buzz of a run - a run which has seen Wrexham lose just 13 times over the previous two campaigns - everyone associated with the club is happy, even those who haven't had a massive part to play.
But there does come a point when even some players feel that their race has been run with a certain team, and it's time for them to move on so that they can pursue other opportunities.
The club's supporters are very happy with the squad that has been assembled at the Racecourse, but the strength of it does leave some players underused, sometimes undeservingly. That may be the case with Luke Bolton, according to Football League World's Wrexham fan pundit, Liam Grice.
"There aren't many players in the squad who have given the impression that they would like to move away," Grice said on which Red Dragons he could see wanting a move away from the club in January.
"Even the players on the fringes of the squad have said how happy they are to be in and around it and that the atmosphere at the club is brilliant. So I'm not sure that there is a player that's desperate for a move away.
"However, if there is a player that needed game time and maybe wasn't getting the game time he deserves at the moment, and would want to move away, it's Luke Bolton.
"There's a very good player in there. We spent money on him from Salford (City), but he just doesn't get into the team as Ryan Barnett is in such good form at the moment.
"So it'd probably be Bolton. He'd maybe want a loan move away."
