Bradley Barcola has been the subject of transfer rumors this summer, with reports linking the PSG standout to Bayern Munich and Liverpool. However, one report is now revealing that a club is looking at another alternative option.

While PSG have built a squad with plenty of depth, that also means fierce competition for minutes. Barcola has been battling for playing time against Désiré Doué and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, which has fueled talk that he might look for a bigger role elsewhere.

The Sun recently reported that Liverpool are planning a move for Barcola—even after sealing a deal for 22-year-old German star Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen. But according to Foot Mercato’s Josué Cassé, Barcola has no plans to leave. He’s seen as a key part of PSG’s project and remains committed to the club.

With Barcola unlikely to be available, The Sun now reports that Liverpool are shifting their focus to Newcastle United winger Anthony Gordon. The Reds have maintained interest in the 24-year-old since last summer and are reportedly preparing a £100 million bid. Gordon is viewed as a strong alternative, with the belief that PSG have no intention of letting Barcola go.

This week, Sky Sport Germany’s Florian Plettenberg reported that Barcola is FC Bayern Munich’s top target as they look to sign a high-profile left winger. While a deal won’t be easy to pull off, Bayern are actively exploring the possibility of signing the 22-year-old Frenchman.

If Barcola ends up being out of reach, Athletic Club’s Nico Williams is seen as the leading alternative. Max Eberl is also keeping other options on the table, including Kaoru Mitoma, Rafael Leão, and Cody Gakpo.

Nonetheless, it doesn’t seem like PSG are willing to give Barcola away and hamper the depth they’ve built over the last few transfer windows.
