Liverpool reportedly want to sign one of the brightest prospects in Italian football in the summer transfer window. But they’re not alone in that.
Gazzetta dello Sport claim Liverpool are one of the club seriously plotting a move for Dean Huijsen this summer. The teenager is currently on loan at AS Roma from Juventus.
Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig join the Reds in wanting Huijsen, who has seriously impressed in Serie A this year. He only actually made his senior debut in October, playing 12 minutes for Juventus.

That remains his only league appearance for them, too, but his loan to Roma in January has skyrocketed Huijsen's reputation. He's quickly become a regular, if not quite a regular starter, and looks like one of the most accomplished young defenders around.
There's no suggestion of a price in the article but if he keeps playing like this, the Dutch-born defender won't come cheap.
Anyone who wants to feel immediate hype for Huijsen simply needs to watch his goal for Roma against Frosinone. A goal that comes with a backstory, even.
Huijsen had the chance to go on loan to Frosinone but he rejected them, instead moving to Roma. That led to the home fans booing and whistling the teenage centre-back from the off.
He silenced them in an incredible way.
Huijsen picks the ball up on the halfway line and dribbles past the opposing forward before driving through midfield. Frosinone aren't sure what to do with him, so the teenager keeps on going. He then skips past their holding midfielder before curling the ball into the far corner from 20 yards.
An amazing goal from an amazing talent and one that Liverpool may want to get their hands on. This goal is just the tip of the iceberg, for one, as Huijsen also boasts stats like completing 85% of his passes at Roma.
A teenage defender who's that comfortable on the ball at the elite level is a rarity to say the least. If Juventus are willing to sell at anything resembling a reasonable price, don't be shocked to see Liverpool swoop.
