Liverpool will not move in January for RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner

According to the Daily Star, Liverpool will wait until the summer to pursue German striker Timo Werner

Having signed Takumi Minamino from RB Salzburg, Liverpool now have a player who not only provides strength in depth but also a versatile option in a variety of attacking positions.

German football expert Ralph Honigstein believes that Werner, who predominantly plays as a striker, does not offer the Reds the same value that Minamino does. (h/t Daily Star)

Honigstein also argues that Werner would find it difficult to replace either Sadio Mane or Mohamed Salah in the Liverpool line-up.

Both Werner and Minamino have had good seasons so far but with the Japanese playmaker costing a good amount, the deal also makes financial sense for Liverpool.
