Mohamed Salah has claimed his house “looks like a hospital” as part of his gruelling fitness and nutrition plans.
The attacker helped Liverpool claim a domestic cup double this past season, and was also recognised for his performances with the PFA players’ player of the year and FWA footballer of the year awards.
However with the Egypt international turning 30 on 15 June, he is going above and beyond to prolong his stay at the top of his game.
“Two rooms in our house are dedicated to different fitness machines, bodybuilding,” Salah told France Football (via the Daily Mail).
“At home I can also do cryotherapy, there is a hyperbaric chamber. I am constantly looking to improve my physical condition.
“It’s true that I like to say that my house looks like a hospital, [but] my wife doesn’t like that! [She] says that I spend more time with my machines than with her!”
In addition, Salah also revealed how strict a diet he adheres to.
“I prefer broccoli, sweet potatoes, fish, chicken and always salad.
“When I indulge in a great restaurant in London, I prefer sushi.
“I eat pizza once a month at the most. I love hamburgers, but I hardly ever eat them because afterwards I feel heavy!”
Now that’s commitment!
