Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold says Arsenal legend Thierry Henry is the one player in history he would have loved to play with.

Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold spoke in an interview with the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) this week after winning the Fans’ Player of the Month award for December.

As part of the interview, the defender answered quick questions on a number of topics.

One of the questions asked the right-back to name one player from all time that he’d love to have played with, to which he responded simply: “Henry”

The two players could certainly have formed a deadly connection, with Alexander-Arnold an expert in long-balls and early crosses and Thierry Henry almost unmatched in using his movement to beat the offside trap.

With the Liverpool man also admitting he prefers assists to goals, he’d have done well as a provider for Arsenal’s all-time leading goalscorer.

Sadly for Alexander-Arnold, he was born in the wrong era, and he plays for the wrong club!

Instead, Alexander-Arnold is looking to get fit so he can play for Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium next month, as his team aim to stay ahead of Arsenal in the Premier League table.
