It’s the second time in a week where the two biggest rivals in England football meet, following on from a goalless stalemate at Anfield in the Premier League last Sunday, and the Merseyside press seem be expect Klopp to field senior stars rather than fringe players.
According to Liverpool reporter at The Times, Paul Joyce, the German coach will bin his recent trend of playing fringe players in domestic cup competitions tomorrow at Old Trafford, presumably in a bid to take his side out of their recent dire form.
Still, the task doesn’t change for United. We cannot afford to be complacent going into this game because nothing has been won yet, and we should be looking to knock Liverpool off the curve with a damning defeat.
That’s how United can stamp authority in the earlier rounds of the FA Cup.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer needs a trophy and things are looking up in the Premier League, but it would be naive to throw all of our eggs into one basket this season.
