Liverpool have been watching AFC Bournemouth attacker Antoine Semenyo closely, according to The Telegraph.

The 25-year-old took the Premier League by storm this season, bagging nine goals and five assists in 33 appearances.

Semenyo is an electric, ambidextrous forward who can wreak havoc on both flanks and has piqued the interest of several Premier League clubs.

Liverpool’s interest in his services is unsurprising, given that sporting director Richard Hughes joined the Reds from the Cherries.

Liverpool are also looking at Bournemouth duo Dean Huijsen and left-back Milos Kerkez, although they face stiff competition for all players.

Bournemouth are a victim of their success and will likely be raided for their top talents after punching above their weight this season.

Semenyo could be one of the names leaving the Vitality Stadium this summer, although it is unclear if Liverpool will bring him to Anfield at this junction.

Liverpool are prioritising the centre-forward and left-back positions, which means a move for Semenyo may take a backseat until they have settled those areas.

However, if Luis Diaz leaves this summer, Liverpool could swoop for Semenyo.

Diaz, who has recorded 28 Premier League goals and 15 assists in 100 appearances, is attracting serious interest from Barcelona and the Saudi Pro League.

His father said he wanted to join Barcelona last summer, and rumours of Saudi interest refuse to go away. Should he leave, Liverpool will need immediate reinforcements on the flanks.

Also, summer signing Federico Chiesa, who spent much of the season sidelined, looks set for an exit, potentially returning to Italy.

This opens a clear path for Semenyo. He could be an ideal replacement. With Hughes at the helm, move for Semenyo could gather pace quickly.

Liverpool need attacking reinforcement to maintain their Premier League dominance. They must be proactive in the summer transfer window.
