It was the fifth trophy of Jurgen Klopp’s reign having already landed the Premier League, Champions League, Super Cup and Club World Cup.
But does mean they’re now the most successful club in England?
Well, let’s compare the trophy cabinets of both Liverpool and Man Utd to find out that answer…

So, United are currently two major trophies ahead of Liverpool and remain the most successful club in England.
Of course, that could all change by the end of the season. Liverpool still have the opportunity of completing an incredible quadruple having already ticked off the League Cup.
While Jurgen Klopp may describe such talk as “crazy”, there’s now the added incentive to move above Man United and officially become the most successful club in English football.
Winning the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup in the remainder of the campaign means Liverpool will have to overcome Manchester City. But former Liverpool defender, Jamie Carragher, insists that despite all of City’s – and Chelsea’s – recent success, Liverpool and United will always be the biggest clubs in the land.
“Manchester United and Liverpool will always be the biggest clubs in the Premier League,” he insisted.
“That will never change however successful Manchester City or Chelsea are or other teams, those will always be the two biggest teams.”
