Liverpool made massive summer offer for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia | OneFootball

Serie A giants Napoli were faced with the possibility of selling Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to Liverpool last summer, months before they sold the player to Paris Saint-Germain.

This background is provided by Sky Italia today (via TMW) and they have revealed that Liverpool had put forward a fee of €100 million to sign the Georgian in the summer. Their intention was not to sign the winger immediately and they were happy to let him play for Napoli for the 2024/25 season. They wanted him in their squad for the start of the 2025/26 season.

Napoli rejected the offer as they were not happy with this possibility and it isn’t clear what their intentions were. Paris Saint-Germain were interested in the Georgia international even then but the player himself had rejected the idea of playing for them, before ending up joining them permanently in January.

Liverpool were also linked with the player in the winter but they never made an approach.
