In a recent report, Fichajes stated that Liverpool are locked in a three-way battle for Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman. It is understood that the Reds could face competition in the form of Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus in pursuit of the French wide player.

Coman’s Recent Form At Bavaria

The Paris-born sensation had an impressive campaign with the Munich club recently as he put in a series of productive displays as a valuable member of their frontline. Coman found the back of the net eight times and secured 15 assists in 39 matches for the German outfit last season on all fronts.

The 25-year-old proved himself to be a consistent performer, especially in Europe after he averaged 2.4 shots, 1.6 key passes, 1.1 crosses and 2.6 dribbles per 90 minutes in the UEFA Champions League last season. He was even tidy when distributing possession in the attacking end of the pitch based on his pass completion rate of 82.6% in European football (stats via whoscored).

Coman has made a slow start to this campaign as he is yet to score or assist a goal despite making four appearances for his current club thus far. Is Coman The Right Choice For Jurgen Klopp?

Coman can use his quickness to get the better of his marker out on the flanks and is usually a joy to watch when he is running at full swing towards the opponent’s penalty box. The French talent managed to chip in with his fair share of goals and assists last season. He is a streaky scorer and can unlock the opposition defence with a killer pass in the final third.

Coman ticks all the right boxes in terms of what Jurgen Klopp demands from his wide players. He will add some much-needed cover for Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah because of his versatility to function as a wide player on either flank if needed.

There is no doubt that Coman will add a lot of goals and creativity to Klopp’s attacking department at Anfield which makes him a decent choice for the Merseyside outfit to pursue next summer. At 25, the Bayern Munich wing wizard will only get better with each season, so the Reds would be wise to get him on board before the start of next season.
