Bayern Munich have added Luis Diaz to their candidates for the left-wing position, according to Sky Sport Germany.

The Bundesliga champions have been linked with a move for Nick Woltemade, but are still actively pursuing a winger.

Following the departure of Leroy Sane and the uncertainty surrounding Kingsley Coman’s future at the Allianz Arena, Bayern need attacking reinforcements.

Diaz was a key member of Liverpool’s title-winning squad under Arne Slot last season, although his long-term future at Anfield is currently uncertain.

His contract at Liverpool expires in 2027, but renewal talks have reportedly stalled, and Liverpool are now open to parting ways.

Diaz revealed in March that he was in talks with other teams, although he would be happy to remain at Liverpool.

“We are talking with other clubs,” he told FCF Media (h/t Pipe Sierra). “It’s normal in the transfer window, and we’re looking at the best for us.

“If they offer us a good renewal, or I stay there for the two years [of my current contract], I’ll be happy. Now it’s up to them.”

Bayern’s interest in Diaz is still at an early stage, but could intensify after the club recently missed out on Jamie Bynoe-Gittens. Prime target Nico Williams looks set for a move to Barcelona.

However, Bayern will not be alone in their pursuit of Diaz, who remains of interest to Barcelona. They are unlikely to have the financial muscle to pull off a deal.

Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Nassr are also eyeing a swoop for Diaz and are prepared to offer around €80 million.
