Liverpool legend Thompson urges Klopp to make one more signing

Liverpool legend Phil Thompson wants to see one more signing this summer.

The Reds have secured Fabio Carvalho, Darwin Nunez, and Calvin Ramsay for manager Jurgen Klopp.

They have also seen ace winger Sadio Mane depart for Bayern Munich.

Thompson told Paddy Power about incoming transfers: "I would like to think we'll be having a look at a midfield player as well, but last season at centre forward we ended up playing Sadio Mane there, so we needed to find someone to play there permanently.

"Now If you'd have said 18 months ago that Sadio Mane would be leaving Liverpool, we'd have been frightened.

"We had players like Divock Origi and Takumi Minamino, who didn't fill us full of hope, to come in and play those positions.

"But then we signed Jota, and then we signed Luis Diaz and now Nunez, and so things have moved on and we feel a lot more comfortable with what we have."
