Klopp teams are famed for their high-pressing, high-octane ‘Heavy Metal’ style of football which requires players to be quick off the mark.
But according to Opta data gathered by the Mirror, two of the 10 slowest speeds recorded by players in the Premier League so far this season belong to Reds players.
Daniel Sturridge may have bounced back from a frustrating period of injury problems and being sent on loan to West Brom with four goals in all competitions this term, but the 29-year-old striker has clocked up an average of just 27.96 km/h in his six Premier League outings so far.
But that at least makes him quicker than Reds team-mate Adam Lallana, who has played only three minutes of Premier League football so far and ran just 26.89 km/h.
Here are the 10 slowest Premier League players in full …
10. Kevin Long (Burnley) – 28.00 km/h
9. Daniel Sturridge (Liverpool) – 27.96 km/h
8. Romain Saiss (Wolves) – 27.64 km/h
7. Ramadan Sobhi (Huddersfield) – 27.54 km/h
6. Vicente Iborra (Leicester) – 27.49 km/h
5. Luke Amos (Tottenham) – 27.19 km/h
4. Dwight McNeil (Burnley) – 26.94 km/h
3. Grady Diangana (West Ham) – 26.91 km/h
2. Adam Lallana (Liverpool) – 26.89 km/h
1. Gary Cahill (Chelsea) – 26.34 km/h
