Liverpool are interested in Watford winger Ismaila Sarr, according to 90min, as cited by Anfield Buzz’s Twitter account.
The report states that Liverpool have made contact with Watford regarding Sarr’s availability.
Liverpool were first linked with a move for the 23-year-old last summer.
ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT
Sarr is a very good player. The winger scored 13 goals and registered 10 assists in 39 Championship appearances last season.
Sarr also averaged a WhoScored player rating of 7.13 across the 2020-21 Championship campaign.
Despite the fact that Sarr is young and talented, he only possesses a current market value of €22 million. Sarr’s contract does not expire until the summer of 2024.
If Watford were prepared to sell Sarr for a fee close to his market value, we would love to see Liverpool act.
The reality is, Sarr is only 22 years of age. Therefore, it would be fair to assume that he is not the finished article.
Liverpool could potentially sign a bright young player for a reasonable transfer fee.
