Atalanta and a few other clubs in the Premier League are showing an interest in signing Liverpool-linked defender Maxence Lacroix.

The 23-year-old centre-back has been in impressive form for Wolfsburg this season and his performances are catching the eye of interested clubs in Europe.

Liverpool are amongst the teams who are keeping tabs on the Frenchman with a view to potentially signing him.

With Joel Matip out injured, the Reds could sign a defender in January and Lacroix is believed to be on their radar.

According to French outlet Foot Mercato, Atalanta are amongst the teams who are interested in signing him as well.

The Italian side are known for possessing one of the best recruitment teams in Europe and they are interested in the Wolfsburg centre-back.

Less glamorous clubs than Liverpool in the Premier League are also claimed to be eyeing a move for the Frenchman.

He was signed for a fee of €5m in 2020 and his value is said to have trebled in the last few years.

Lacroix has a contract until 2025 with Wolfsburg and the German club are likely to demand a premium fee for him.
