Mbeumo started the season in outstanding form before picking up an injury. He scored seven goals and picked up four assists in just 15 league games and he showed his quality last season as well.

The Brentford star is a proven performer in the Premier League and he could be a quality addition for the Reds. He will add pace, flair and goals to the side from the wide areas.

Salah has a contract with Liverpool until the summer of 2025 and he has been linked with the move to Saudi Arabia. Liverpool could be under pressure to sell him in the summer if he does not renew his contract with them. They will not want to lose him on a free transfer next year.

Mbeumo could be available for a reasonable price, especially if Brentford are relegated at the end of the season. They are having a disappointing campaign and are 16th in the league table.

The 24-year-old will not want to play in the Championship next season if the Bees go down. He will want to continue in the top flight and the opportunity to join one of the biggest clubs in the world will be hard to turn down. Liverpool have the pull and ambition to attract the best players in the world and Mbeumo will be tempted if there is an opportunity to join the Reds.
