Liverpool could allow Mohamed Salah to leave Anfield this summer if they get an offer in the region of £60 million, according to the Sun.

Salah has been a star for the Reds since signing back in 2017. In his five years at the Merseyside club, he has scored 156 goals in all competitions, winning the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, and Carabao Cup, as well as three Golden Boots and a Playmaker Award.

The Egyptian has been involved in a stand-off with his club over his contract. He has one year remaining on his current deal and has refused to renew until Liverpool meet his demands. He is believed to have asked for around £400,000 per week.

This saga could be about to take another twist. The Sun reports that Salah may be sold this summer if an offer of £60m comes in.

With the winger out of contract next year, it may make sense for Liverpool to let him go while he still has value in the transfer market. However, they might also feel like they could convince him to stay over the course of the season.

The Sun names Champions League winners Real Madrid as a potential destination for Salah. Los Blancos will be in the hunt for a new forward this summer, with Gareth Bale and Isco already departing on free transfers. This has left them with Rodrygo as their only natural right-winger.

They had eyed up moves for young superstars Erling Braut Haaland and Kylian Mbappe. However, the former opted for Manchester City, while the latter remained at Paris Saint-Germain.

The Spanish giants have already been busy in the transfer window. They brought in France international Aurelien Tchouameni from Monaco in a deal worth up to €100m, and recruited Chelsea’s Antonio Rudiger on a free transfer.

As for Liverpool, they have also added to their squad. Darwin Nunez arrived from Benfica, with Fabio Carvalho and Calvin Ramsay also joining. However, key man Sadio Mane departed, joining Bayern Munich after six years at Anfield.
