Scorers: Jones 58′

Liverpool solidified their position as Group D winners after beating Ajax 1-0 at Anfield.

The first half was evenly matched with stand-in goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher saving well from Noussair Mazraoui, while Jota missed a presentable chance for the hosts.

But it was Liverpool who opened the scoring after Andre Onana misjudged a cross from Neco Williams, allowing Curtis Jones to tap into an empty net.

Ajax pushed for an equaliser but Kelleher stood firm in goal, leaving them in a straight shootout with Atalanta for second place.

Porto 0-0 Manchester City

Scorers: N/A

The spoils were shared between Porto and Manchester City after their 0-0 draw at the Estádio do Dragão.

City dominated possession as expected but were unable to trouble Agustín Marchesín bar one Ferran Torres strike from range.

Gabriel Jesus thought he secured all three points for the visitors late on, only for his strike to be ruled out for offside.

Despite their draw, both Porto and City cruise into the knockout stages ahead of their Group C rivals.

Atlético 1-1 Bayern Munich

Scorers: Félix 26′; Müller 86′

Atlético Madrid missed the chance to secure their progression into the knockout stages after drawing 1-1 with Bayern Munich in Madrid.

With Bayern already qualified, they fielded a weakened side which saw Atlético take control early on.

And it was João Félix who opened the scoring after finishing a low cross from Marcos Llorente – his eighth goal in 11 appearances this season.

But Thomas Müller struck late on, earning a penalty before scoring past Jan Oblak, leaving Atlético frustrated heading into the final matchday.

Gladbach 2-3 Inter

Scorers: Darmian 17′, Lukaku 64′, 73′; Plea 45′, 76′

Inter kept their Champions League group stage progression hopes alive after beating Borussia Mönchengladbach 3-2 at Borussia Park.

Inter went ahead through unlikely scorer Matteo Darmian, before Alassane Plea equalised for the hosts just before half-time.

Then Romelu Lukaku did what Romelu Lukaku does best – scoring a second half brace – finishing both goals expertly to the delight of Antonio Conte.

And despite Plea giving Gladbach hope late on (and seeing a contentious goal ruled out for offside), Inter held out to leave Group B entirely undecided.

Marseille 2-1 Olympiacos

Scorers: Camara 33′; Payet (pen) 55′, (pen) 75′

Marseille ended their dismal run of four straight defeats with a 2-1 win over Olympiacos at the Stade Vélodrome.

Olympiacos went ahead through Mady Camara, who fired an unstoppable left-footed strike past Steve Mandanda.

But two second half penalties from Dimitri Payet ensured Marseille registered their first goals and points in the Champions League this season.

Atalanta 1-1 Midtjylland

Scorers: Scholz 13′; Romero 79′

Atalanta take their knockout stage hopes into the final matchday after drawing 1-1 against Group D minnows Midtjylland.

Alexander Scholz put the visitors ahead with a stunning half volley, before Cristián Romero equalised with a towering header late on.

Shakhtar 2-0 Real Madrid

Scorers: Dentinho 57′, Solomon 83′

Real Madrid are on the brink of group stage elimination after losing 2-0 against Shakhtar Donetsk in Ukraine.

Despite starting brightly, Karim Benzema squandered two presentable opportunities by firing straight at young goalkeeper Anatolii Trubin.

And then disaster struck. After a defensive mix up between Raphaël Varane and Thibaut Courtois, Dentinho stole in to put the hosts ahead.

As Los Blancos pushed for an equaliser, Shakhtar caught them on the break and a fine individual effort from Manor Solomon secured all three points.

Lokomotiv Moscow 1-3 Red Bull Salzburg

Scorers: Berisha 28′, 41′, Adeyemi 80′; Miranchuk (pen) 79′

Red Bull Salzburg kept their Champions League knockout stage hopes alive after beating Lokomotiv Moscow 3-1 in Russia.

The visitors took control early on and after Mërgim Berisha had a goal (correctly) ruled out for offside, he opened the scoring after some fortunate bounces in the box.

Berisha then doubled his tally just before half-time, finishing well after being played through by an inch perfect Sekou Koïta pass.

Lokomotiv gave themselves hope after Anton Miranchuk scored from 12 yards, only for teenager Karim Adeyemi to score a brilliant solo goal just seconds later.
