Liverpool ALREADY planning for NEXT transfer window with 11-goal PL winger shortlisted

Liverpool are already thinking ahead and have reportedly shortlisted a Premier League winger for a 2025 transfer.

Caught Offside claims Liverpool are looking ahead into future transfer windows already. The Reds have signed absolutely no one this summer and are the sole club in Europe's top seven leagues without a signing in 2024.

But Arne Slot is happy with his squad, it seems. The club certainly don't see any great need to sign a new player - or at least, don't see the need to spend the enormous amounts it would take to improve the squad.

The Reds did try to sign Martin Zubimendi, of course, but were rejected at the death. There was a push to get Leny Yoro, too, but that one eventually became too pricey.

And so Liverpool are on the brink of heading into the Arne Slot era with zero incoming players. There are a few sales on the table, with Fabio Carvalho already leaving.

But Slot may need to wait until 2025 before actually building his squad.

Liverpool like Kaoru Mitoma

Caught Offside believe Liverpool are keeping tabs on Brighton winger Kaoru Mitoma. They're highly unlikely to make a move before the end of the transfer window, but he's one to watch in 2025.

Though, a slightly confusing one.

Mitoma has 11 Premier League goals to his name - a figure that likely would have been higher if not for injury problems last season. The 'hope' would be that the Japan international does kick on this season, providing ample reason for Liverpool to move.

But Mitoma will be 28 this time next year. The only player Liverpool have signed in recent times in that age bracket is Thiago and with all due respect, Mitoma is highly unlikely to reach that level in the next 12 months.

We're just not sure this one really adds up. Mitoma is a fantastic player but someone for Liverpool? We don't see it. Anthony Gordon makes far more sense as a target if the Reds want a left-winger.
