Williamson says the Sarina Wiegman’s side are targeting more silverware after defending Euros crown
England captain Leah Williamson says the Lionesses are targeting more silverware after telling fans at Tuesday’s Euros parade in London: “This story is not done yet”.
Williamson and her Lionesses team-mates enjoyed an open-top bus procession along The Mall to celebrate their Euro 2025 triumph.
The celebrations culminated in a staged ceremony at the Queen Victoria Memorial in front of Buckingham Palace.
A tearful Williamson addressed the 65,000 fans who had come out to congratulate the team, and vowed England are hungry for more success.

The Lionesses are now back-to-back European champions, and they want to add the World Cup to their trophy cabinet when they head to Brazil in 2027.
“I’m in the trenches, I am holding back tears,” said Williamson. “I have been crying all the way down the Mall, this is unbelievable.
“This is probably one of the best things we have ever been a part of, so thank you for coming out.
“There are lots of ways to win a football match and we repeatedly did it the hard way, but I think you can see how much we care about playing for England, how much we love it.
“2022 was a fairytale, but this feels really hard-earned and we are very proud of ourselves. So thank you and we hope you are [proud of us], too.
“We did some work together, we came close, the first game maybe rocked us a little bit, but I just think it is special people.
“We love each other. We have got each other’s back - on and off the pitch. We had tough moments, nasty things to deal with, and still we rise.
“My message is: everything we do, obviously we do it for us and our team, but we do it for the country and we do it for young girls.
“This job never existed 30, 40 years ago and we are making history every single step. Thank you so much, thank you so much for being with us.
“Stay with us - this story is not done yet.”
