Is there anything Lionel Messi can’t do?

Not only is he one of the greatest footballers ever to have played the game, but now he’s a fashion designer too.

Well, it’s actually Messi’s sister Maria Sol who is the brains behind the operation.

The line – creatively named ‘Messi’ and designed by Virginia Hilfiger – was launched at an event in Barcelona and Thursday.

We have a feeling teenage boys might well be the target market based on the items unveiled so far.

“It’s a dream come true,” Maria Sol Messi said at the launch.

“Fashion is what I like the most, ever since I was a child, and it was always a dream of mine to be involved with a clothing brand.

“I studied a lot to dedicate myself to this profession. When an opportunity such as this one presents itself, you have to take advantage of it.”
