Mohamed Bayo (27) has returned to Lille OSC following the conclusion of his loan spell at Royal Antwerp, however, he is not expected to remain with Les Dogues.
The former Clermont Foot striker netted just once in his 17 appearances in Belgium and, despite the departures of Jonathan David and Chuba Akpom, he does not feature in Bruno Genesio’s plans. As a result, another move is expected for the centre-forward.
He could have the opportunity to remain in France. Foot Mercato understands that newly promoted Paris FC are interested in the Guinean international. However, the Parisian side may face competition from Serie A side Sassuolo.
LOSC, naturally, aren’t opposed to selling the centre-forward, who has failed to settle ever since his move to Lille. The striker, keen for a move away, is currently training away from the first team and has been placed in the ‘loft’, in anticipation of a departure.
