Lille predicted XI v Aston Villa: Angel Gomes to miss out, Jonathan David to start | OneFootball

Angel Gomes remains a big doubt to face Aston Villa in the UEFA Europa Conference League on Thursday. The Englishman has made a rapid recovery from a hamstring injury, suffered at the end of March, however, despite being considerably ahead of schedule, he remains a doubt for Lille OSC.

The Englishman was involved in first-team training with his Lille teammates on Tuesday, however, it is not guaranteed that he will be boarding the Birmingham-bound flight. A decision will be taken later on Wendesday, however, regardless of whether he travels or not, it looks highly unlikely that he will feature from the start.

The other major doubt concerns whether it will be Alexsandro or Bafodé Diakité who will accompany Leny Yoro at the heart of the LOSC defence. The in-form Jonathan David will lead the line.
