Juventus have made an offer to Napoli captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo, who is also a target for Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid, and Aston Villa.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews. The outlet report that Napoli would want at least €20 million to sell their captain.

Di Lorenzo looks like he could be a player on the move this summer.

The 30-year-old wants to leave Napoli during the transfer window. That is no mere speculation – the agent of the player has explicitly confirmed his intention to leave.

The reason for Di Lorenzo wanting a transfer is that he feels that there is a lack of trust in him at Napoli.

For their part, the Partenopei want to keep hold of Di Lorenzo.

Incoming coach Antonio Conte, in particular, wants the captain to stay. He will try to convince Di Lorenzo to remain at the club where he would be an important part of the project.

However, if Conte is unable to convince Di Lorenzo, then Napoli could very well sell the Italian international.

Tuttosport note that the Campanians’ preference would be to sell Di Lorenzo to a team outside of Serie A rather than a direct rival in Italy.

Tuttosport report that the likes of Atletico Madrid and Aston Villa are interested in Di Lorenzo’s signature.

But the newspaper anticipate that the clubs with the strongest interest in the 30-year-old are in Serie A.

Inter and Juventus currently look to be the two main candidates to sign the Napoli captain.

For the Nerazzurri, everything would be dependent on the future of Denzel Dumfries.

Inter want to either extend Dumfries’s contract this summer, or else sell the Dutchman. And at the moment, the outcome of contract talks is very much up in the air.

Meanwhile, Juventus are keen to pounce on Di Lorenzo’s situation.

Bianconeri Sporting Director Cristiano Giuntoli, formerly of Napoli, is a big fan of the 30-year-old.

According to Tuttosport, Juventus have offered Di Lorenzo a contract until the end of June 2028. They would match the €3.5 million net per season wages he currently earns at Napoli.

The Partenopei, for their part, want no less than €20 million to sell Di Lorenzo.
