Our colleagues at Foot Mercato report that Ligue 1 side Lille have engaged in initial discussions with Danish 1st division side FC Copenhagen over the possible signing of 20-year-old attacking midfielder Hákon Arnar Haraldsson.
Haraldsson has scored 4 goals in the Danish Superliga so far this season – his club are seeking €15m in order to part with the Icelandic international talent, who is under contract until 2027 and recently signed a new deal in March.
Les Dogues are conscious of their need to seek attacking reinforcements this summer as they brace themselves ahead of losing Jonathan Bamba on a free transfer when the French winger’s contract expires at the end of the month.
There is also a gentleman’s agreement in place between Canadian international Jonathan David and the Lille board that will allow the 23-year-old striker to leave in the event that a respectable proposition is made this summer.
