In what is considered a massive blow to Newcastle United’s transfer ambitions, Milan are edging closer to landing Sven Botman from Lille in the approaching summer transfer window.
Journalist claims that Botman have agreed on a four-deal with the Rossoneri. As per the report, the Dutchman will earn a salary of around €4million per season in the contract proposed by the Serie A side.
A potential deal for the 22-year-old could cost Milan a transfer fee of around €30miilion. However, Lille and the Italian club have not reportedly sorted out the final details of the agreement. Alessio Romagnoli will leave Milan on a free transfer next season, with the Milan captain closing in on a move to Lazio.
Touted to be one of the best among the emerging defenders in Europe, Botman is seen as an astute replacement for the Italian defender.
