The Monaco club opens the exit door for the Franco-Algerian midfielder, but with one condition.
Maghnes Akliouche / AS Monaco
Maghnes Akliouche could well be on his way out of AS Monaco this summer. According to several sources close to the situation, the Monaco management has given the green light for his departure, provided the offer meets their expectations.
The Principality club is demanding a hefty fee to let go of their gem, who has enjoyed a standout season with dazzling performances in Ligue 1 (32 matches, 5 goals, and 10 assists) and in domestic cup competitions. Maghnes Akliouche is highly regarded for his vision, his ability to break the lines, and his attacking versatility. While AS Monaco had long been reluctant to part ways with their star, they are now ready to face reality.
The Red and Whites have no intention of selling their asset on the cheap. All suitors for the young talent now know they must put up €70 million to land one of the most promising prospects in European football right now. And there is no shortage of interested clubs. According to L’Equipe, Inter Milan, who are looking to inject fresh blood into their attacking midfield, see Maghnes Akliouche as a potential successor to Hakan Çalhanoğlu or an ideal complement to Nicolò Barella. The Lombard side has reportedly identified Monaco’s young playmaker as a top priority to strengthen their squad this summer.
Serie A could therefore be the next chapter in the young Franco-Algerian’s career. The big question is whether Inter Milan is ready to meet Monaco’s financial demands or if negotiations could lower the price tag. Meanwhile, other European heavyweights, including PSG and Arsenal, are also said to have shown interest in the player. Maghnes Akliouche is set to be one of the headline stories in this final stretch of the transfer window.
