Valencia 1-1 Costa Adeje Tenerife

Valencia have now won just one of their last eight league games after they were held to a draw in Saturday’s clash with Tenerife. Macarena Portales scored her first goal of the season to give Valencia the lead just after the half-hour mark. The 25-year-old played a neat one-two with Fiamma Iannuzzi before slotting the ball under the onrushing Aline Reis. The hosts looked set to claim all three points until Tenerife’s Pisco produced a 90th-minute piledriver to snatch a point for her side.

Levante Las Planas 1-1 Atlético Madrid

Levante Las Planas managed to end a three-game losing run in Liga F with a hard-earned draw against Atlético Madrid. Rasheedat Ajibade found the net in a second straight game to put the visitors in front in the 32nd minute. The Nigeria international brought down Xènia Pérez’s long pass, before poking the ball past Nayluisa Cáceres.

After trailing for a significant period, the hosts pulled themselves level in the 80th minute. Lola Gallardo could only parry Jessica Martínez’s powerful free-kick into the path of Anissa Lahmari, who tapped the ball home to ensure the contest finished all square.

Sporting Huelva 0-1 Villarreal

Villarreal prevailed in a crucial battle at the bottom of the league table.  Bicho scored what proved to be the decisive goal just after the half-hour mark. The 20-year-old nodded home after meeting Raquel Morcillo’s deep corner. The hosts ultimately stood firm for the remainder of the contest to end their five-game winless run. While Villarreal moved five points clear of the bottom two, basement side Huelva are now left eight points adrift of safety.

Athletic Club 0-1 Real Madrid

Real Madrid bounced back from consecutive defeats against Barcelona and Chelsea to claim a narrow victory in Saturday’s away meeting with Athletic Club. As the first half neared its conclusion, Naomie Feller guided the ball home into the bottom corner after being teed up by former Athletic player, Oihane Hernández.

Athenea del Castillo had the chance to double Real Madrid’s advantage in the second half when she was brought down in the box by Adriana Nanclares. The goalkeeper quickly made amends for her foul, pulling off a fine save to deny Del Castillo from the penalty spot. Unfortunately for Athletic, they were unable to find a way back into the contest as they fell to their first defeat since November.

Levante 2-2 Granada

Relegation-threatened Granada required just two minutes to take the lead against Champions League chasing Levante. Laura Requena calmly swept the ball into the bottom corner after latching onto Ornella Vignola’s low cross.

Granada’s lead lasted just seven minutes before Gabi Nunes headed in from close range. Alba Redondo then tapped home her sixth league goal of the season to turn the game in Levante’s favour. Granada looked to be heading towards defeat until Edna Imade equalised in the 85th minute to ensure the spoils were shared.

Real Betis 0-6 Barcelona

Bruna Vilamala netted her first goal of the Liga F season to get Barcelona up and running inside three minutes. Esmee Brugts doubled her side’s advantage, before the Netherlands international teed up Caroline Graham Hansen to add a third goal by the 30-minute mark.

There was still time in the first period for Vicky López to produce a clinical strike from the edge of the box to register her third goal of the Liga F campaign. Graham Hansen fired into the roof of the net to wrap up her brace within six minutes of the restart. With 15 minutes remaining, Aitana Bonmatí found the net to round off a dominant display for reigning Liga F champions Barcelona.

Real Sociedad 1-1 Madrid CFF

Madrid CFF led for the majority of Sunday’s contest after Lee Young-ju opened the scoring in the 18th minute. The 31-year-old pounced on a parry from Elene Lete to register her first goal of the season. Unfortunately for the visitors, they were denied all three points by Synne Jensen’s 92nd-minute equaliser. The Norwegian found the net in an eighth consecutive match to extend Real Sociedad’s unbeaten run to seven competitive games.

Sevilla 3-0 Eibar

Sevilla continued their fine run of form with a comprehensive victory over Eibar. After playing out a goalless first half, the hosts moved in front in the 56th minute. Pamela González produced a looping header from Rosa Otermín’s corner to net her second league goal of the season.

Cristina Martín-Prieto then added her name to the scoresheet with a sensational solo effort. After picking up the ball just inside the Eibar half, the 30-year-old raced past Carla Andres and drove into the box, before firing past María Miralles.

Martín-Prieto went on to grab her second and Sevilla’s third to round off a dominant performance. While Sevilla extended their unbeaten run to nine competitive matches, Eibar have now lost six consecutive away matches.
