L’Equipe: Chelsea keen on €50 million France U21 defender | OneFootball

We all know the drill here for Chelsea right now, it is all about defenders, defenders, and more defenders.

Thomas Tuchel needs to desperately replace players who have already left, and further players who might leave as the window goes on.

The Blues missed out, or pulled out, on/of signing Jules Kounde from Sevilla this week, who now looks set to join Barcelona. But Chelsea must continue to find alternatives with this area of the pitch being a huge priority for the club in the remaining weeks of the window.

A new name has come into the fray, via a report from French outlet L’Equipe. They say that Chelsea are interested in Monaco’a French U21 international, Benoit Badiashile. The club will not discuss for less than a €50 million (£42m) offer.

The 21-year-old has become a real sought after talent after a great couple of seasons in Ligue 1. Let’s see if Chelsea make the move.
