Lens interested in Auxerre’s Gaëtan Perrin | OneFootball

Gaëtan Perrin (29) is expected to leave AJ Auxerre this summer, according to a report from L’Équipe, the Frenchman is attracting interest from Ligue 1 rivals RC Lens.

The right-winger was exceptional for L’AJA last season, scoring 10 goals and registering 11 assists in 35 games in Ligue 1. Having impressed, it is expected that Perrin will leave Auxerre this summer, and he won’t be short of suitors. In recent months, sources have evoked a potential move to the MLS in the USA, however, his form last season is also seeing French clubs register an interest.

Ouest-France evoked an interest from Stade Rennais last month. However, there is now also interest from Lens, managed by former Olympique Lyonnais manager Pierre Sage. L’Équipe understands that Perrin may have wanted a new experience, outside of France, but with interest within Ligue 1 growing, a stay in his native country could now be on the cards.
