According to a report from Foot Mercato, Lens have accelerated their interest in signing Abdallah Sima (24) from Brighton during the summer transfer window. The Ligue 1 club are in discussions with the Seagulls to try and find an agreement to sign the Senegal international attacker before the window closes.

The 24-year-old winger could be set to return to the French first division. Sima spent last season on loan at Stade Brestois. The attacker scored 12 goals and registered 2 assists in 40 appearances across all competitions for Les Pirates. Most notably, the Brighton forward scored three goals in the UEFA Champions League.

Is Sima arriving as a replacement?

Les Sang et Or are looking to recruit the left-winger as they are expecting a departure among their attacking options. In his most recent press conference, Pierre Sage revealed that he expects Morgan Guilavogui to leave the club before the end of the transfer window and the Senegalese forward is viewed as a potential replacement.
