Leicester are hopeful of doing a deal for Stoke City centre-back Harry Souttar before Tuesday’s deadline after submitting an official offer.

The Foxes have been linked with a move for the Australia international throughout the window and have now finally made a £15m bid for his services.

Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers is a big fan and believes he has the qualities necessary to shine in the Premier League.

Potters officials are reportedly mulling over the offer, having held out hope that interest in the 24-year-old had fizzled out.

Leicester also remain keen on Jack Harrison but that move has been described as complicated and as a result is unlikely to come to fruitiion.

In addition, they are also eager to cut their squad before the window closes and are willing to listen to offers for Jannik Vestergaard, Çağlar Söyüncü, Ayoze Pérez and Dennis Praet.
