Leicester City boss Steve Cooper has expressed his frustrations with the Premier League regarding what he considers an incorrect VAR decision during last weekās 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace.
The 44-year-old confirmed on Thursday that the Foxes have already contacted the league about the incident, seeking more answers. For Cooper and his team, allowing Palaceās first goal was a mistake because a āfalse imageā was used and the decision needs to be confronted.
āIt was an awful human error that we believe has been hidden a little bit,ā Cooper said on the incident.
āThatās been as disappointing as the decision. We didnāt feel it was right, asked for clarity and have seen images that showed he was clearly offside.
āEverything that has been seen has been a false image. Weāve had a massive error go against us and we donāt want it to go under the radar because thatās not fair on the players or the supporters.
āErrors like that should never happen, especially with VAR. We felt very let down by it and we needed to stand up for the club and tell them what we thought.
āWeāll be on the end of good and bad decisions, thatās football. But donāt hide away from mistakes.ā
It remains to be seen whether the Premier League will comment. Meanwhile, Leicester aim to claim all three points this weekend as they welcome Everton to town on Saturday.
