Leeds United have agreed a deal to sign Barcelona forward Ilias Akhomach, reports Sport.
The 19-year-old is set to be out of contract in June after talks of a new deal with the La Liga club failed.
However, the Spaniard is expected to join the Whites and will sign with them in the coming hours.
The project of the struggling Premier League club have convinced the La Masia graduate.
Leeds are 16th in the English top flight after 31 games, with two points keeping them from the drop zone.
They could be back in the Championship next term, and while it would be financially devastating, it could be a blessing to Akhomach.
The club will lose most of their top forwards if they are relegated.
It would give the likes of the Barca B winger the chance to play regularly and develop.
Akhomach has played thrice for Barcelona but has not featured for the first team this term.
The impending departure of the Spain under-19 international will fetch Barca a fee.
Both parties are working on a financial package, and the move will be sealed once agreed.
Having struggled to break into the first team, Akhomach is tempted by the promises Leeds have offered.
The Catalans have also refused to meet his financial demands, but the Yorkshire club have offered him suitable terms.
Akhomach will be eager to show Barca what they are missing out on if he gets to Leeds, and it will be intriguing to see how his career goes.
