Lautaro Martinez and Denzel Dumfries will both be unavailable to Simone Inzaghi when Inter return to Serie A action after the international break following their injury set-backs, which leaves them targeting returns in the Coppa Italia against rivals Milan and in the Champions League against Bayern Munich.
Both Lautaro and Dumfries were selected for their respective national sides in March – Argentina and the Netherlands – but both withdrew before their countries’ first games of the international break and returned to the city of Milan for further assessment.
Lautaro had been due to play in World Cup qualifiers against Brazil and Uruguay this week, but withdrew from the Argentina squad with a hamstring injury on Wednesday.

He underwent further tests upon his return to Italy, which have revealed a pulled flexor muscle, ruling him out of Inter’s upcoming Serie A match against Udinese on Sunday.
According to updates from Sky Sport Italia, he should be available again either for the Coppa Italia semi-final first leg against Milan next Wednesday, if not, for the Serie A match against Parma on April 5.

Dumfries will spend slightly longer on the sidelines, as his hamstring injury is expected to keep him out of the Udinese game, Milan cup tie and the following Serie A match against Parma, which leaves him targeting a return in the Champions League quarter-final first leg against Bayern Munich on April 8.
