La Liga outfit Las Palmas have opened talks with goalkeeper Álvaro Valles, over the termination of his contract with the club.

That’s according to Marca, who have on Friday provided an insight into the situation.

It has long been common knowledge that Valles is set to depart Gran Canaria this summer, upon the expiration of his contract.

The shot-stopper already has an agreement in place with another La Liga club, due to link up with Manuel Pellegrini’s Real Betis for next season.

Valles, as a result, is no longer in the plans of Las Palmas boss Diego Martínez.

Though the 27-year-old will not technically be eligible to line out for new employers Betis until 2025/26, negotiations over an immediate contract termination have therefore been opened by the brass at the Estadio Gran Canaria.

In the case of an agreement being found, Valles could in turn make the move to Seville now, training individually whilst getting accustomed to his new surroundings with a view to next season.
