Despite a run of 14 consecutive matches without a win to end the season, it was a successful 2023-24 campaign for Las Palmas, as they avoided immediate relegation from La Liga, having been promoted in 2022-23. Planning is already underway to ensure that they stay in the Spanish top flight for many years to come.

Signings have already been lined up. One of those will be the permanent capture of Marvin Park, who has spent the last two seasons on loan in Gran Canaria. Speaking on Tuesday (via Diario AS), Las Palmas president Miguel Angel Ramirez confirmed that they will trigger the buy option in their agreement with Real Madrid.

“We have decided to buy the 50% that Real Madrid sells us from Marvin.”

Ramirez also confirmed that goalkeeper Alvaro Valles is a leading candidate to be sold, with it already being decided that he will not sign a new contract – his current deal ends in 2025.

“His agent does not want to renew. Therefore, the scenario that this puts us in now is either renew or look for a way out that interests Las Palmas, because I think we deserve that if Alvaro Valle does not continue in the entity by his own decision, the club will receive money from his departure.”
